Are the subscripts correct for equation 8.88 (p. 19)? The numerators
all refer to μ_1 -- it seems to me that they should be μ_1, μ_2, ...,
μ_N so as to match the denominators' subscripts (and work with
equation 8.86).

Yes, they should be μ_1, μ_2, ..., μ_N.
