Violating Academic Dishonesty?

Hello guys,
I'm so new to this Open-Courses courses. I'm not sure how this works. Are we suppose to just download the materials and watch the videos ourselves without a mentor ? If so, then this goes against my understanding. because the Syllabus, which can be found here http://cs75.tv/2010/fall/#license, says something about academic dishonesty and final projects. How could we do peer-to-peer help without violation the dishonest policy and how to submit a final project when there's no teacher?
