Meet Pia the Pom girl, only 2 years old and dumped by her owners at the Broward Animal Shelter because she needed surgery on both knees. Look at this angel face and tell me how could the owners be so cruel? They asked to have Pia PTS however Suely stepped in and saved her precious life (it was not time for her to go to Rainbow Bridge). Unfortunately, Pia was in much pain, could barely walk. Dragging her back legs, crying as she looked up at Suely with those big brown eyes pleading for help and the human touch. Pia's surgery (alone) was $1800.00 therefore anything that you can do to assist would be greatly appreciated. Pia will have to endure 12 weeks of Physical Therapy and weekly visits to the vet. She will be going Foster Mom, Marni, (Teacher for "special needs" children) so we know Pia will be in great hands. She will receive loads of love and nurturing to send her on the road to recovery and into the loving forever home that she so deserves.
