We have been picking up abandoned dogs in the Homestead / Everglades area, about 30 + dogs. They are being vetted and we are trying to find foster and forever homes for them. Please, see attached picture and read below and cross post if possible. This very sweet baby boy is a special case and we need a foster ASAP.

TOO SAD – PLEASE NEED URGENT FOSTER.
Need everyone’s help out there on this one. Please see attached picture and read below. This sweet baby boy who has been named Arlo (golden mix), has suffered enough. We need a special needs foster home ASAP.
Please cross post this e-mail to everyone you know and even some you don’t know.
We need to take care of his injury and give him the life and love he deserves.

The Golden mix turns out to have suffered multiple gun shots to his rear leg, the femur to be exact. It was shattered and has since healed, badly. Doc thinks his condition is permanent. He has no control of his bladder, he's always leaking. His bowels aren't as bad, but still doesn't have full control.
Spoke to Linda, and as I guessed she can't take him and doesn't have a foster who can.
He is at Greenleaf now, but cannot stay there indefinitely.
He might benefit from getting acupuncture to restore some of the nerve function back there but it’s not promised.
I have a vet, Dr. Loeser in Davie, who works with dogs who have rear hind leg issues and paralysis. She's great, but not cheap. Either way we need to get him out of there. He can't be comfortable in a kennel all day.
Please network and let's get him out of there.
