Subject: Senior lab 12 yo left alone in homestead house to die, leisure City FL
This poor senior dog was left alone in her home after the boyfriend of her dead owner abandoned her. The owner had died and the boyfriend took the dog, Daisy, to be euthanized but it was too expensive so he decided to instead leave her in the house to die by herself. Someone contact us about this situation and told us that a neighbor had a key to the house but refused to get involved and thought that "she was an old dog anyway". I know, it is horrifying to realize that we are surrounded by human (?) beings
like this. Mirta(our one woman rescuer in Homestead) went to the home last night and witnessed a most atrocious sight, of this poor senior dog that is almost 120 lbs of obesity , all alone grieving for her loving owner who passed away. Mirta could not even get her into her car and had to call for assistance from some other strong individuals. The poor girl was petrified but she was lifted into the truck and taken to a home to stay overnight. Today she is at the animal hospital, (Crossroads, again.........they are really helping so much with these poor Homestead dogs) and they are trying to find out if she can be helped. She was on thyroid medicine (one of the neighbors contributed this info) until the boyfriend decided not to even give her the medicine. Daisy is being evaluated as I am writing this, but she has no place to go. I know I have bombarded all of you with many, sickening ordeals this week and you have really helped us save these animals. If
you could take one more minute before the end of today, and forward this email about poor Daisy, maybe we can save more deserving living being. We need a FOSTER and funds.
Crossroads Animal Hospital in Kendall. Donations can be made directly to the vet hospital 305 279-2000 or to my rescue www.myanimalsrock.org or PO Box630729, Miami FL, 33163.
You are all the best!! Thank you.
