Gunner is a 3-year-old golden retriever in Shiloh, IL who is the pride and joy of his family. http://www.protectvoters.com/

Unfortunately, Gunner has developed a tumor on his right foreleg, and he is desperately in need of surgery (and likely, amputation) to prevent the cancer from spreading. The tumor is noticeable now, and poor Gunner has had to learn to stay off his right leg, because it causes him obvious pain to put pressure on it.

To make matters worse, Gunner's family cannot afford the surgery he needs, and they've been turned down by CARE Credit because they don't make enough money. If someone doesn't do something quickly, his vet estimates he's probably only going to have a few more months to live.

That's where you come in.

A not-for-profit group called THE AMORA FUND has taken on Gunner's case and is currently working to raise the funds needed to provide Gunner's surgery. A member of the fund has agreed to extend a line of credit to ensure that Gunner can get his initial surgery quickly, but this person cannot afford to shoulder these bills for long, and it is crucial that the funds be raised to cover this treatment and any future chemotherapy that's required.

The veterinarian, Dr. James Bollmeier of Four Paws Animal Hospital in O'Fallon, IL, has also agreed to provide services at a reduced rate to ensure that Gunner can receive the care he needs.

So, Gunner needs your help! The Amora Fund has set up a ChipIn page at http://amora.chipin.com/help-save-gunner-the-golden-retriever where you can learn more about him and his family and donate (if you're so inclined). 100% of donations go towards Gunner's care, and a member of the fund has graciously agreed to cover the cost of Paypal fees associated with donations.

All donors will receive updates on Gunner's progress and (we hope!) good news about his recovery. You can also follow Gunner's progress on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/home.php?sk=group_208281599212592.

Thank you in advance, and should you have any questions, please contact Sean Jordan at seanjj...@gmail.com!
