An Obituary - Sydney Sorelle

Sydney Sorelle, Co-host of a function welcoming new candidates to The School of Virtue  at Elite House was declared dead this morning after the collapse of Elite House. Odysseus Nemo, fellow Co-host and doppelganger, publicly disclosed this when publicly asked by Clarissa, Minister of Education and Grand Mistress of the School of Virtue at the site of the wreckage of Elite House this morning. Sydney, one of the leading students of the new The School of Virtue, he was a studying commerce, an exponent of the proposed bank of Lilith and was a recently revealed vampire.

He will be missed for his franked and enthusiastic discussions on monetary theory and thoughts on overturning the gold standard of the ducat with a trust or belief based currency.

Let us hope that he will be properly remembered by The School of Virtue for his full role there.

Sydney Sorelle was declared dead recently by Odysseus Nemo in an on the spot report to Clorissa the Poisoner at the collapsed Elite House. Where he was discredited for possessing a throne, apparently an artifact of great power removed from the School of Virtue and creating a gate into the Abyss. 

 

Sydney Sorelle, exponent of new currency and by extension, of currency reform will be sorely missed as a force for reform was reported killed in the collapse of Elite House. The people of Carnelian will be disadvantaged by his loss and the unopposed continuity of a gold based currency controlled by the Royalist government, Merchant classes and Back of Voyvra. We, the people should morn Sydney as another leading light in our class struggle, like many others he was cut short in reforms to liberate the proletariat, in his case by currency reform.

An Opinion Article - The Late Sydney Sorelle

Sydney Sorelle, recently declared dead has been credited with the theoretical monetary reform of creating a currency based not on a credible value but rather on belief! This faulted theory stood to supplement the ducat with a bank note for some imagined amount. If as reported he was a spokes person for “The Bank of Lilith” and having bank notes for this imaginary currency printed was not enough, the potential for actual harm is incredible. We have seen the recent shortage of goods from Isle de Chocolate when prices for the goods produced there increased dramatically. This can be described as much currency chasing few goods. This stands to be confirmed should the supply of money double while the supply of goods remains the same. TO YOU THIS MEANS YOUR DUCATS WILL BE BUY HALF THE GOODS THEY DO NOW! 

We have been told that he was also appropriating items of arcane power and inferences have been heard of other crimes. This appears to a distancing by the School of Virtue from Sorelle’s dangerous ideas. Let us hope this is the end of this.

Light Sculpture - A New Art Form

The light sculpture of Lilith, seen at Elite House, was commissioned by the Ministry of Education and created by Master Steelvul, using newly developed techniques. Master Steelvul was recently appointed Master of Design at the School of Virtue. At present the sculpture has not been recovered from the wreckage Elite House. Though it may have been lost, Master Steelvul may be able to produce others in the future.

Journal Article for Lyceum Press - Ocular Bush

This ocular bush was seen in the Abyss recently in a region named Ganlalutu within a heavily “forested” area. Other foliage in the area looked like . . . < insert general description >.

It is capable of some movement using it’s root structure to walk able slowly. The colouration of this example was . . . < insert detail as seen and noted at the time/ recalled >.

It is reputed to collect eyeballs from other creatures by stealthily approaching and plucking them from resting victims or the fallen. Therefore each eye is potentially taken from a different creature and may have different capabilities per the original creature.
