Woohoo!

Thanks to David, the dungeon mistress now has an electronic copy of
the following items:

D&D 3.5 Player's Handbook
D&D 3.5 Rules Compendium
D&D 3.5 Dungeon Master's Guide
D&D 3.5 Edition Index - Feats

One fortune point to David's new character! I think this marks the
first time that a character has earned a fortune point before s/he
technically exists... but anyone who can help get the DMs. more
familiar with the game rules has certainly made a contribution to
everyone's experience. David, thank you.

Regarding, the last book, I note in addition to the core classes that
feats are included for: Assassin, Favoured Soul, Hexblade, Ninja,
Scout, Shugenja, Spirit Shaman, Swashbuckler, and Warlock. I was
under the impression that under standard d20 rules assassin was merely
a prestige class. Does anyone know where rules for the others may
have been published?

The ten core classes listed are those appropriate to characters native
to the City of Carnelian. Other classes certainly exist, among them
the corsair, monk, ranger, and shaman, and possibly the samurai and
ninja. I am quite open to the inclusion of other classes which (1)
represent a significant literary and philosophical archetype and (2)
are appropriate to the setting of the campaign. I'm also interested
character classes which qualify for the 1st but not the second
qualification (the psion, for example, which belongs to Carnelian's
future), on general principles.

Alice.

I've played a Psionicist a couple of times and like it a lot
(definitely helps world balance to play the "Magic and psionics are
the same" rule so that current characters and baddies have defences
against psionics)

I'll post the rulebook onto yousendit as well.

Um... embarassing question....

At the last meeting one of you gave me a CD which contained (I exaggerate only slightly) every 3.5 Ed. D&D book in the world.

My mind unfortunately completely blanks as to whom it was.

May I kindly ask?

Alice.

Hi Alice,

I've recently emailed you a bunch of PDFs of 3.5 books (and a
'yousendit' link to the DMG which was just too big).

Cheers
John

For anyone else who would like to down load them, the links to them are still live (for another day or so) all except DMG which has expired (Let me know if you want it re-loaded anyone):

That was me, but I think you're missing a few, I ran out of space on the disc. Hopefully they're still in the same order as they are on my pc, so if you tell me which is the last one on the list I can bring you the rest next session.

Rory-

Then I owe you 2 fortune points for the lot. THANK YOU immensely.
I remember how happy I used to be when I got my hands on one of these. The notion that I suddenly have 92 new D&D books to look through is dizzying to say the least. It will likely take me half a year just to read through them.

So far I'm most of the way through Tyrants of the Nine Hells, which is for the most part spectacularly done, way better than 2nd Ed. Planescape's treatment. I just wish that Gygax and/or Jeff Grubb hadn't mixed up the circles of Hell back in 1st Ed., because otherwise I would be able to declare several chapters of the book "canon" for this campaign. The picture of the soul shells newly arrived on the Shoals of Despond is awesome.

Unfortunately, my computer seems to list files in ascending alphanumeric no matter what I do. However, if you can tell me what the 91st-93rd items on your list are I could figure it out easily.

again, many, many thanks.

Alice.

P.S. My evil quotient just went up today! I found a bigography of Machiavelli at Pegasus Books titled 'philosopher of power', which reads something like Pulp Fiction. I enjoy this kind of thing way, way too much for the good of my soul.

huh, weird, I thought that it failed to copy some, but there are only 93 in the folder and I remember deliberately not copying the PHB1 because you already had it.
