At the recent AGM, we committed to communicating to the membership some detail regarding Job Descriptions of roles we would like people to step forward to fill.
Please see the document.
It should also be noted that when the band achieves charity status, the members of the exec will become trustees. This should not be a daunting role at all. Please see this link for information about being a charity trustee.

There is a section in this document relating to personal liability. Please be assured we have trustee indemnity insurance in place to protect individuals from personal liability.
I am announcing an EGM for 22 May (this allows the required 14 days notice). The single agenda item is to elect the 3 officers of the Exec (Chair, Secretary and Treasurer), along with Progress and Main Band reps (2 each) making a total of 7.
As with the AGM a couple of weeks back, we will have to steal a bit of time from each rehearsal. I would hope the whole EGM will take about 10 mins max, So, can I ask that Main Band members arrive around 19.50 for a meeting to start at 19.55. The Main band rehearsal should be able to start around 20.10, Progress Band members will be able to leave after the meeting around 20.05.
So finally, can I ask everyone to consider stepping forward to be available to fill the available roles highlighted above and explained in detail with the document. Please contact me directly if you feel you are able to come onto the Exec to take the band forward from this point in time. YOUR BAND NEEDS YOU !! Many thanks in advance.
Many thanks.
