Trash compactor

Please read the new red sign at the trash compactor!

Do NOT place your trash directly into the compactor, at all, anything, ever again. We have been asked by our neighbors, the County and our General Manager to ONLY put trash in the dumpster sitting right in front of the compactor.

Why? Because the birds have learned how to shred the bags and spread our trash all over the place including into our next door neighbor's yards. Also the smell is terrible. 

This can be corrected BEFORE the Health Department gets involved which they will if our neighbors complain again.

It is so simple: put your trash in the dumpster in front of the compactor.

There are not many of us in here at the moment so it should be easy to comply with this simple request. So, Let’s “ get ‘er done” neighbors. 

I do have a suggestion. If some type if handle or rope could be placed on the cover of the dumpster we’re supposed to to use it would be super helpful to lift it.

I was pleasantly surprised at almost 9 PM to see no garbage at all in the compactor. Many thanks to everyone who pitched their kitchen waste into the dumpster today.

Jo & I leave in the morning so this is my last report.

Also, I did send an email to Scott S. with our ideas to try.
