Hello all....seems like the internet pirates are hard at work with this new way to gain access to your computer. I was checking my email and looked in the spam folder and there was what looked to be a dinner party invitation from one of our Crystal Lake residents. Well, I was going to click on the RSVP that we could not attend as we are back in Ohio but instead contacted them to find out if they really sent it. Nope...they did not. Just to be safe I ran a scan with Malwarebytes, Ccleaner and an offline scan with Microsoft Defender. I also watched a Youtube video on what to look for if someone has gotten access to your computer. I didn't have any of that.  Here is an article about the scam.

Diane, I received an invitation to a party in my email from my daughter-in-law in Indiana.

sometimes I’m glad I have an Indiana phone number. Because apparently I’ve been not paying my  driving tickets there as well.
