For those who heard the results I presented last Sunday at the CLRVR Community Church service,
please continue to read the following for some additional information and clarifications I received from St. Matthews House this week. I’m going to put this in list format; hoping it will help me to remember everything. LOL That’s a joke. I’m a forgetful
senior like the rest of you. There’s a lot of “food” in this message (at least I think so), so please read carefully and completely.
- Thank you immensely from St. Matthews House & myself for
your donations of food and personal hygiene items. See attached St. Matthews House Very Kind Thank You note for your CLRVR
donations.
- Twelve people were St. Matthews House gift items raffle winners. Their prizes were delivered immediately after the close of food drive. Congrats!
Any ideas for something fun or motivational for next year are welcome.
- St. Matthews House Thank you notes were given to all CLRVR Donators containing a Lulu’s Kitchen Restaurant postcard with my gift of $4.00 to use when
dining at Lulu’s. I will pay Lulu’s Kitchen for all people who present the coupon to eat there through April 30, 2026. How large will my cash donation be? Have you eaten there?
- See very important chart for additional interesting statistical details about the numbers of families fed etc.
It turns out that CLRVR did indeed experience the largest one-day drive for St. Matthews House Food Pantry. Crytal Lake holds the record.
- Other organizations have exceeded CLRVR results by having their drives over a period of days. CLRVR’s results are for a single day.
- CLRVR almost filled 6 Gaylord containers by virtue of very careful organization and packing. We’ve gone from 3 to 6 containers.
- Many thanks are owed to CLRVR Helpers
Diane W – Boxes Libby – Grocery Bag Organizer at Lot 107 storage trailer
Joella S – Greeter & Food Organizer/Boxer Nancy K – Greeter & Food Reception Area Organizer

- Six (6) Gaylord containers are again requested for next year’s drive. I’m making additional plans to strategically
organize and pack to exceed 2026 results.
- Next year’s drive is scheduled for March 19, 2027.
Please mark your 2027 calendars.
- Special Food Drive Launch Announcement with St. Matthews House Guests – Date to be determined.
- Anticipate receiving reminder notifications in your mailboxes late February or early March 2027.
- Planning to send additional email reminders - Groan.

- Continue to drop off food, personal hygiene items, bags, and egg cartons at Lot 2015
until April 15, 2026.
- It is
NOT NECESSARY to call OR ring doorbell. I pick up and store your items multiple times each day
- St. Matthews House Warehouse Pantry Truck will pick up these additional items on April 16 @ 11:00 a.m. at Storage Lot 107 if you’re interested in watching
the results.
- I will report the results of this extra effort sometime after April 17.
I thank you again personally for allowing me to help coordinate this act of kindness for those with food and personal hygiene insecurities. It means a lot to them and me. I love being allowed this helpful
and honorable purpose for the CLRVR Community, of which I could not be prouder.

Many of you know I write stories, and I will document the 2026 Food & Hygiene journey for my own memory bank in more detail with many pictures. It’s my hobby and therapy to write. I will let you know when
it’s available. If you are a member of my personal Syllee Creations FB page, you’ll automatically be notified when it’s posted. You can let me know by replying to this email if you’d like an invite.
