(and yes, best not to move the SketchUp app folder. that needs to stay where it is, under On My iPad, because of the way the Files app and iOS do the things they do. Better instead, to move the files in the SketchUp app folder to a new folder that you set up in iCloud).
To prevent the syncing and backup processes on iOS devices from taking a long time, be selective about where you place files. Apps that store large files can slow down the process of backing up to iTunes or iCloud. These apps can also consume a large amount of a user's available storage, which may encourage the user to delete the app or disable backup of that app's data to iCloud. With this in mind, you should store app data according to the following guidelines:
The macOS file system is designed for Mac computers, where both users and software have access to the file system. Users access the file system directly through the Finder, which presents a user-oriented view of the file system by hiding or renaming some files and directories. Apps access the file system using the system interfaces, which show the complete file system precisely as it appears on disk.
The Library directory is where apps and other code modules store their custom data files. Regardless of whether you are writing code for iOS or macOS, understanding the structure of the Library directory is important. You use this directory to store data files, caches, resources, preferences, and even user data in some specific situations.
After selecting which version of the Library directory to use, you still need to know where to store your files. The Library directory itself contains several subdirectories that subdivide app-specific content into a few well-known categories. Table 1-3 lists the most common subdirectories that you might use. Although Library directories in macOS contain many more subdirectories than the ones listed, most are used only by the system. If you want a more complete list of subdirectories, though, see macOS Library Directory Details.
Because all user data and system code are stored on disk somewhere, protecting the integrity of files and the file system is an important job. For that reason, there are several ways to secure content and prevent it from being stolen or damaged by other processes.
File system synchronization is primarily an issue in macOS, where the user can manipulate files directly with the Finder or with any number of other apps at the same time. Fortunately, macOS provides the following interfaces to help with synchronization issues:
You can request a renewal of an iPad if the UF Library branch that you borrowed the iPad from has more iPads available for loan to other students. Visit the Circulation desk at the UF library branch where you borrowed the iPad to request a renewal.
So I went to the iCloud system preferences and unchecked the "Desktop and Documents" item. I figured it wouldn't delete things that were still locally saved on my disk. But I was wrong and now every single file on both my Desktop and in my Documents is gone. Not in the trash, nowhere to be found. Gone.
Hi guys i Think i found out where you can get all the data back (and i dont know why apple would do somthing like this as it is soo stupid) when you chosse to back up your files on icloud (Which i will never do again in the future) a sperate folder is made on you mac calles "icloud Drive (Archive)" it is located in Users > " your computer user name" > iCLoud Drive (Archive) - here you should find all your files that were just deleted ! (well at least i did)
EndNote enables you to easily view, edit, organize, and share research material on your iOS device. By syncing your research library across iOS, online, and desktop, you increase the power of EndNote by gaining seamless access to your reference library from multiple devices and platforms.
I don't think there is a difference in the Flurry library, they are the same for iPhone and iPad. I think the only difference is when you first set up an application, it asks what platform you're targeting, perhaps just for their own metrics.
The University of West Florida Libraries' equipment may be checked out by currently enrolled UWF students and currently employed UWF faculty and staff who have and present a valid, readable Nautilus Card, maintain library accounts that are in good standing, and who read, agree to, and sign an equipment loan agreement. Students may check out only one of each type of equipment per checkout.
The working condition of the equipment is assessed by library staff before checkout and upon its return. Upon checkout, the borrower assumes full responsibility for the equipment and all its components. Library staff strongly recommends and requests that borrowers inspect the equipment they are checking out before leaving the Circulation Desk so that they may immediately report any problems with the equipment. This action is an added measure meant to protect you, the borrower; once you have checked out the equipment and left the Circulation Desk, you become monetarily responsible for any damage to and/or loss or theft of the loaned equipment.
Any data or documents saved to library laptops will be permanently erased upon shutdown. When using a laptop or iPad, borrowers may sync additional data and applications, understanding that all data added by the borrower will be erased when the laptop is shut down or the iPad is returned. Any additional applications, media, or software purchased by the borrower during the loan period must be done with the borrower's money and is not the responsibility of the University of West Florida Libraries.
Borrowers will be assessed fees for any/all damages. Fees will be recorded on the borrower's library account and the borrower's university account and may result in library borrowing restrictions as well as university restrictions on things such as registration and graduation.
Please note, if equipment is seven days past due, the library will apply the full replacement cost to the borrower's library and university accounts until the item is returned. The borrower may lose equipment loan privileges for up to 6 months.
