Corals with stinging sweeper tentacles such as galaxia and frogspawn corals should be avoided in smaller tanks. If they are kept near other corals, their sweeping tentacles will come out and night and sting or kill the surrounding corals."

But I do have a frogspawn but at night it shrivel up and become really small and no tentacles come out of it ever. Same with my hammer!?? so what am I missing here? Where are those tentacles they are refering to in that article??

The frogspawns sting is pretty strong and it'll sting anything it could reach. However, I have a very large colony with 120+ heads in my 95 gallon. It's right next to the toadstool and it just leans away from it. The problem with a nano tank. It'll grow if you give it adequate lighting and food. The frogspawns tissue could expand 3-4 inches from it's skeleton. Just make sure your watching it as it grows and frag it, if it's getting too close to your other corals.

only see my frogs sweepers during the day.. i did notice my fire chalice barfing all over a tiny piece of pocillopora i broke off.. really interesting. They were definitely not the sweepers.. guts were comin out.

It's the same tentacles you see during the day, just some of them can get obscenely long when it is probing the area around it looking for things to nuke. Not those little fishing line looking tentacles that come out at night on favias and the like.

No lube, no protection, all night all day from the kitchen floor to the dining table from the bed to church, from the front porch to the balcony, vertically, horizontally, quadratic exponential, logarithmic, while i gasp for air scream the lord's prayer, SEIJI CAN TOP ME until I'm swollen, until I'm crying, until he's out of juice, until I cant walk, until I'm numb, until my throat hurts, until my cheeks are red, until the neighbours know his name, until my insides becomes outsides, until my hole remember the shape, until my jaws fall off, until my leg is useless, until my eyes are rolled back and it stays there, until my body does a backflip, until my whole body shakes, until the skin peels off, until my bones disconnect, until i pass out, until im paralyzed for the rest of my life, until all my eggs are fertilized, until all my holes are filled, until i cant breathe, until it gets longer than before, until he couldn't stand, until i die, until his tentacles dont come anymore, until my mouth cant eat, until i remember the length of it, until the end of time, until he dont have it anymore, until his hole remembers the size and girth, until it reaches my stomach, until hes grunting and growling, until he has to regenerate it, until the whole world hears. I'm gonna get him pregnant ten times over breeding him all day all night no protection just me and him all over the house on the floor on the couch on the bed in the shower on the rooftops even god couldn't pull me out of him.

Jacob carefully got up and put on his coat, shivering as the damp cloth touched his skin in the wet, cold night. He slowly picked his way across the field of sleeping bodies, emerging into the outer edge of the clearing, which was only about five feet across from the nearest dreaming individual and the rest of the bog. He turned and looked back to the cave, around the camp, and even cast a short glance towards Crimson.

Jacob listened for a few more seconds before deciding that Ren had actually gone silent. Jacob continued to lay there, unmoving, thinking only of what he could have done differently in his life to avoid this point in it.

Jacob groggily rose to his feet, subconsciously using his tentacles to push him from the moist ground. Some people gave him dirty looks, but no one stopped him from his morning routine. None of his usual chores awaited him, so instead he headed back to the cave to find Georgiana. Crimson stood at the entrance, back to him, blocking half the view. He ducked around her arms, which blocked even more while propped up on her sides, and entered the cave.

Me and my friend tried 2 times and Deerclops wrecked us in both. First time we weren't expecting him. 2nd time he simply killed us. On 2nd try, expecting him, we tried to get some offensive items going but there is just not enough time.

I read blowdarts was good but we need Hound's Tooth and we didn't have enough by the time. Or we never have enough pig skin to make good armors, weapons. Simply because we can't spend much time exploring to get the base ready.

And I love WX-78 but how am I supposed to find gears? The mobs with gears always easily kills me at early game. We sometimes get lucky and 'something' kills them and we spend the 2 gears on ice boxes and if I'm lucky I keep 1 to use in emergencies.

Usually on this time, you can't get proficient gear to defeat Deerclops that easily and safely, especially if you are only two. But the best advice I could give it to you if you want to live longer and go beyond is how to give up. Living in DST isn't rotated in killing every single giant you can see. You must learn how to become a pacifist from time to time and weigh your actions if it will give you the best of your benefits.

Here the advice is circled in building only small camp containing a fire pit, that is far away from your main base. When you hear moaning sounds or your character reacting, immediately go away and go to that small camp. And when you see it, it is either leaving Deerclops behind or fight it. But for your case it is better to leave it. After all it's prized eye is only a luxury item.

Now for your second problem, the only safe to acquire gears are getting it from tumbleweeds. But don't guarantee it will always drop. And if you want to get from your clockwork friends, prepare yourself a spear and a log suit and for fun add your friend and kill those so called "brothers" of yours

By day 9 you already need to have a science and alchemy machine somewhere even if its not a base, a football hat, log suit, and at least a spear(ham bat's better but spear's easier to obtain from now to now). Spend as much time as you can exploring until you find all/most of the important things.

Prepare beforhand with a location you choose for Deerclops. When you hear him, move from base to that location so he won't spawn at base. Light a fire and wait for him. You can either kite him(2 hits and run, 2 hits and run) or tank him, but if you can't get good armors, tanking is probably not your best idea. If you killed MacTusks already(Walrus Igloos during winter have a hunter in them. You should try to kill them for as long as you can until you get all of their drops because they're pretty good) and have a walking cane, you can get 1 more hit in(3 hits and run, 3 hits and run) by running with it(don't attack with it though it deals horrible damage).

Have a log suit equipped and make sure he's far enough from the fire that he doesn't destroy it, and prepare with a ham bat(Usually I keep meat in the fridge for in case I need a ham bat, other than meat for food).

Make armor, and tank/kite the clockworks(mobs that drop gears) other than rooks who you can avoid quite easily. There, gears. Don't eat them all though, you'll need an ice flingomatic for summer. You need 15 gears to fully upgrade WX. You can also get gears from tumblweeds but it's a possible drop, not a guaranteed one.

As for the higher difficulty strategy is to do a ruins rush as Wx-78 to become a really beefy player with gears as backup by day 10, and then merely tank the DC with some log armour chowing on spare gears for the quick +stats 20 days later in the Winter.

AndI love WX-78 but how am I supposed to find gears? The mobs with gears always easily kills me at early game. We sometimes get lucky and 'something' kills them and we spend the 2 gears on ice boxes and if I'm lucky I keep 1 to use in emergencies.

Deerclops has twice as much health in DST then in Single player. If you want to be able to beat him you need to either prepare with a character that can tank his damage (aka Wigfrid with marble suit, helm and spear) or learn how to kite his attacks. Its is not recommended you use spiders, pigs or beefaloos to kill him as his AoE effect will kill them all, for spiders with a tier 3 nest this isn't much concern, but with beefaloo and expensive pig houses this is a serious loss. However, tentacles can be used to kill him by leading him to the swamp and the reed trap set piece can be used for a win win situation. If you choose to try to avoid him, do as others have said and make a small camp to run to when you hear him coming, this will make sure he doesn't spawn near your base, if he starts to chase you, using a road and/or cane you can try to outrun him, or you can lure him to some other mob to take his attention (aka Mactusk will attack him and give you time to get away)
