I am interested in using the Crypto++ library with our software.  We export our product abroad.  I need to classfiy Crypto++ for export control.  Can you help me?  For example, I need the CCATS number associated with it.

The CCATS is 5D992.

I used this link years ago while working on an iPhone emcryption library: http://zetetic.net/blog/2009/8/3/mass-market-encryption-ccats-commodity-classification-for-ip.html. I've been on three other projects that needed a commodity classification, and used the same article as a basis. I've never had one denied.

Get your STARS account early. You will spend most time waiting.

By the way, the Encryption Coordinator (that gets a copy of every request sent to BIS) is the NSA. Fort Meade is their address.
