these are the pools I prefer to use.

I find them reliable, with consistent payouts, and good returns. kindly share your favorite pools as well :)

dogecoin (I purposely set my miners for doge only):

1) multipool = https://www.multipool.us
down for the past few hours, but solid delivery when online. this is my number one option. come to think of it, this was the only time I saw them go offline since I started mining.

sometimes not available. but payouts are consistent.

litecoin

1) givemecoins = https://give-me-coins.com
one of the best out there. no complaints on my end. never found the need to use anything else.

Kagabi when I installed cgminer and ran it for the first time, natyempo na down si multipool so I tried others.. I ended up in

dogehouse.org

I dunno enough about pools to recommend or tell people off.. sa experience ko lang, mabilis bilis naman yun processing ng application ko. Easy to setup. They made the mine.bat file for me.  I ran it, got it working, then created conf file. Tapos from there experiment ng settings.

Sa putol putol na mining session ko (I'm still tweaking), meron na raw ako na mina na 17.7 confirmed and 21.2 unconfirmed.

Question lang mga sir: should I switch pools at this time and try multipool (when the go back online) ? KC multipool is very highly rated.

Thanks in advance! =)

@jonong168

I would suggest running your miner for a particular pool for 24 hours. then compare results regarding coins mined. this is how I am doing it. I do not rely on khash value reflected on the pool website, because in the end, the number of coins you receive is still the most important thing in mining :)

keep in mind that particular pools will be charging a mining rate and a withdrawal rate. that will affect the number of coins going to your wallet.

reliability of the pool is also important. if the pool is down most of the time, your coin output will suffer.

and some pools can run off with your coins so beware of this.

multipool is ok because it is established and the chances of it running off is probably small compared to the smaller, less-known pools. but it has downtimes and finicky connection issues just like all other pools. but I find them very reliable.

try and see what pool gives you the best coin output.

In the meantime I'll sign up for multipool na rin. =)

may issue pala between Dogehouse and Cryptsy, I just read the updates on the Dogehouse dashboard page:

Cryptsy broke their promise of resolving deposits/withdrawals again - so we are again warning you - stop using them until they fix their issues!

anyone knows what this is about?

so far ok pa naman ang deposits and withdrawals ko sa Cryptsy. am I missing something here?

yung 50k dumating na this morning, yung 40k naliligaw pa :)

The issue is di nkakapagsynch ang doge wallet nila. sa sobrang dami ng gumagamit.
kya ambagal. dont worry di nman mwwala ang coins mo as long as nasa blockchain nman.

yup delayed lang yung deposits ni crypsy due to oversized na yung doge wallet nila. nagcreate ako kahapon ng ticket regarding sa deposit ko and nagreply sila hinihingi nila yung deposit info ko and naginclude din sila ng link sa blog nila..based sa blog kaya daw delayed yung deposits sa doge kasi nga sa oversized wallet nila kaya gumawa sila ng bagong wallet and inadvise nila na mag generate ng bagong doge address para dun sa bagong wallet.. anyway, eto yung link ng blog nila you can read their explanation nlng http://blog.cryptsy.com/

nagdown yung registration ng dogehouse siguro dahil dun sa fork na nangyari sa dogecoin and even payouts nga nakahold sa dogehouse..

"There was a fork on the DOGE Network! After consensus from all pools we are now running against a particular chain that we chose. Payouts will be stopped until the devs release more info about the fork!"

from suchmine:

"Every valid share you submit to this pool is instantly credited to your account at the current pay-per-share (PPS) rate. This is not a pay-per-last-N-shares or round-based PPS pool: we always pay for your work, even if the pool has not yet solved enough blocks to cover the earnings generated.

We take on the risk of bad luck so you don't have to deal with variance and orphaned blocks; this is why the service requires a 4% nominal fee. Please note that PPS fees are only nominal, and cannot be compared to proportional/PPLNS fees. On those systems, miners are only rewarded when and if a block matures, but on average about 2% of all Litecoin (and dogecoin) blocks found get orphaned from the network, and therefore yield no reward. For this reason, a 4% PPS fee does not mean that we keep 4% of what our miners earn, not even in the long run."

in other words, kung sabi ng mining calculator you get 198 doge/hr @ 1000kh/s, you would get that amount less 4% (pool fee) more consistently

you dont have to worry about orphaned blocks, or blocks with actual little amount in doge, or blocks with more than 100% actual shares

pag mine mo, credit agad sa iyo, just tried it now and immedietely got doge in the first 5 mins, dont have to wait for the round to be completed

if you want consistency, looks like this is a good mining pool

slide agreed, i was initially connected to a p2pool kaya lang taas ng ping ko (200+) so i was getting lots of rejects, i was getting 200doge for every 5hrs, i read its better kung mga 50s ang ping, dito pala ako nag connect for p2pool   http://doge.st/serverstats#DFbkKKn9kUeJT8nbzcjV7TNjq3ouTiaw3h

sa suchmine, im getting 200 doge every 4 hrs, so mukhang mas ok ako sa suchmine for now

unfortunately, globe yung dsl ko.  i can't expose my ports since naka DHCP ako sa network nila (i'm getting an ip address local to globe, not a public one).

if you're up to it, you can set up the wallet and p2pool software on your mining rig and just point your miner there.  what it does is fetches work directly from the p2pool shared blockchain via your wallet.  then your miner mines that.

i doubt that's true.  the  speed of block completion depends on the amount of hash power hitting it and luck.  and the difficulty is just 1064.  if your pool took three hours, it means the pool hash rate is low.  if you were on p2pool, that's fine, since kaunti lang kayo maghahati sa block rewards.

Poolerino has a good luck lately on the blocks being found.  the actual shares have been lower than the estimates so more doge, also they have a finder bonus of 5000 doge, might want to try it out for a day

Block overview percentage in last 24 hrs 51.15%
Block overview percentage in last 7 days 94.10%

in one round i got 404 doge, round was done in 13 minutes and my hash is just 392 kh/s

some observations:

24 hour mining at give-me-coins for purely litecoin x 24 hours = equivalent BTC 0.02

24 hour mining at wafflepool for altcoins coverted to btc x 24 hours = BTC 0.01

so this shows that mining directly to LTC for example gains more profit than relying to switchpools.

@Wein

this is based from my experience and rigs used. a lot of factors can influence the pool returns in a particular day, most especially the exchange rate. also, pool reliability is a big factor. if during the day the pool switches off for some reason, the returns can be lower than expected.

but yes, since this is the result of my personal experiment, I am exclusively mining litecoins today :)

maybe others can chime in their experiences as well...
