Though its a waste of energy,
Its a good start for beginner and those who doesn't have GPU.

I tried mining in my laptop using minerd,
it gives me 15-17khs :) waste of energy,

ill post more complete infos.

If you have a powerful processor and no GPU for mining try nyo i-google PrimeCoin and/or ProtoShares. They use an algorithm which is different from scrypt(GPU Mining).
Although mas mataas ang capital dito since for PC set, there is only one processor.

using AMD 8350FX (8 core CPU) with 7 cores mining and 1 core left for CGminer, I averaged 72khs.

maybe an overclocked Intel K processor would give better results?

i did this on our 3 servers sa office=) kahit mababa hashrate nya oks lang since 24/7 bukas. =)  sayang din yun kesa wala.
i just directed it to multipool with automatic switching...

set and forget =)

Guys,

Is there anyone of you have tried running both CPU and GPU mining on your mining rig?

Does the CPU mining affects the performance hashrate of your GPU?

If so can you tell us your experience?

thanks!

@Wein ako I'm mining both GPU and CPU..so far wala naman akong naeexperience na problem. ang ginawa ko kasi yung cpu ko have 3 threads bale sinetup ko lang yung cpu miner to two threads tapos yung GPU 100%...smooth nmn wala nmn problema rig ko

@Wein

yup I would concur with Wein's findings.

if I run minerd with cgminer, the cgminer hash rate drops by 50khs, while the minerd gives me 35khs.

so it's a losing proposition running minerd with cgminer using windows 7 64bit.

however I do not see the same drop when I use cudaminer and minerd.

my setup: AMD FX8350 8 cores at 4ghz, using 7 cores via minerd. 3 HIS 280X via cgminer. 1 Zotac 660Ti via cudaminer.

Guys,

I'm mining cpuminer + cudaminer at my office while i discover a performance hash drop on my GT630 when i run my cpu miner. I tried running my GPU only and i discovered a performance increase on the hashrate of my GT630.

I tested it also on my setup rig at my house run both cgminer and cpuminer and discovered the same results. my 270x hashrate drops 20 to 30khash when i run the cpuminer at the same time with my GPU. If i only run the cgminer the performance hashrate of my 270x is now back to normal @ 470khash.

the downside of the CPUminer running at the same time with cgminer as it eats an additional 20 to 30watts of your electricity.

for example i am using intel haswell 50wats TDP - no cpuminer
270x = 180watts - cgminer only
==============================
230 watts total on my electric reading.

when i run the cpuminer with cgminer my total watts has now increase plus 20 to 30 watts. 280watts total.
my intel haswell is now running at the  80watts TDP when i use the cpuminer.using my i5 haswell @ 20khash speed, which is not recommended and electricity wise.

make that CPU earn for you as well if you are using 64bit OS

profitable CPU mining NRS > 0.00008000

miner:

pools:

my humble AMD A4 4000 gives me a 0.0010656 a day thats almost half my HD7850 provides ;)

Guys,

I wanted to share with you a new hardware for bitcoin mining first in history of cryptocurrency with a speed of 3.7TH

more info can be found on this site below.

https://www.hashcoins.com/
Products Line Up
Apollo - 750 GH/s = $2,499
Poseidon - 2.3TH/s = $6,899
Zeus 3.7 TH/s = $10,999

any thoughts from you guys if this is indeed worth to invest?

para sa akin worth to for investment your ROI will depend on the product you purchase. I like Zeus because you can earn $119 per day so the ROI will be in 5months. diba?

a penny for your thoughts guys...

thanks!

@Wein

thanks for the link. was out of the country for almost a week. and my place had difficult and censored internet access.

bitcoin mining will always be tricky especially now that BTC prices are lower. it would be difficult to recommend any form of bitcoin mining at this point.

remember that BTC prices can go lower so your ROI might become more difficult to achieve. but if BTC gains in price, the reverse happens.

again, your call :)

during these times, cryptocurrency is a gamble. but as long as the acceptance improves, we can expect stable BTC prices in the future so we can compute our ROIs and gains accordingly.

Thanks maru for your input and advice. Gulat lang tlga me sa hashrate ng bitcoin miner na yan 3.7TH/s napa wow lang ako at sa presyo haha!

yes its a gamble tlga kya wala nman business investment na hindi sugal hehe!

anyway dalawa pinag pipilian ko if go for gridseed or this asic miner etc zeus.

wala rin me idea how much and power nitong bitcoin miner na to.
