Hi everyone,
I have a warning about submitting papers to Usenix Security 2026. Friends (not me) had their paper desk rejected since the ORCID number of one of the authors did not pass an automated check by the submission system. The author went to sleep after submitting the paper, and only replied the next day to the warning message he had received. This was two hours after the deadline for early registration. The PC chairs wrote that they "deeply sympathize" with the author but must consistently apply the requirements.
I checked the call for papers, and it's full of requirements and is the longest I've seen, 6800 words without the name of the PC members. The CFP of Crypto 2025 was about 400 words long. Adi Shamir's "How to share a secret" paper is about 1600 words long.
Be careful if you're planning to submit to the next cycle of this conference...
