Hi There - I just set up a AC1900 Wireless MU-MIMO Gigabit Router Archer A9 (which for some reason isnt an option from the model list up there) and it is lovely - my phone, tablet, computer, google home devices are all working great. However, netflix on my TCL smart TV won't work. The TV itself is connected and other channels (such as amazon prime) work. Netflix keeps giving me error codes tvq-st-103 and tvq-st-131, saying it can't connect to the network. I can watch netflix on my other devices. I've tried the obvious things like restarting the network by unplugging everything and then plugging back in one at a time, resetting the netflix login, returning the TV to factory settings... It's gotta be something with the router but I can't figure out what. Anyone here have any smart ideas?

You can try to factory default the router by holding the reset for 15 seconds. When the router is back up connect to the default Wi-Fi and test the connection. By default the router can not block specific traffic, but there might have been something adjusted which defaulting will clear out.

If the issue still happens it would be best to contact Netflix to see if there are any settings to adjust or to try since streaming services work with the router from other companies as other devices.

There could be regional differences affecting your connection. We recommend creating a thread on our global community. community.tp-link.com/en. Because i am also a consumer i do get annoyed when companies say this but in this case the first thing to do is reach out to the manufacture of the TV and troubleshoot their device first. This is because since its the only device having issues the troubleshooting would want to begin at the client and not the router. If more devices were having the same issue then it would be one thing but with just one experiancing this issue that is where you would want to start.

Installed the 3 pack M4 few days ago and everything seems fine except one, extremely annoying, thing: Netflix on a Samsung smart TV stops streaming after 5 minutes from when I hit the play button on the remote. I get a tvq-pb-101 (3.1.-82) error code, which means you'll need to disconnect the TV from power in order to resolve this.
Youtube and all other content of TV don't have any problem. Even after Netflix stops, I can switch to Youtube and stream there. TV also indicates it's connected to the network while Netflix stopped working.
The system is in router (not AP) mode, and that's about all I know regarding configuration.
Please help!

@Asaft I have the same problem with my Deco E4,I've been using it for almost a year then suddenly this afternoon netflix stopped working/ can't be accessed in router mode, In AP mode on smart TV does not work.

After rebooting the smart TV, Netflix would start streaming again, and will stop exactly after 5:50 minutes of streaming, display 'loading 25%' for about a minute, and then display the error. This will happen after every reboot.

In some cases the Netflix will require a registration setup on the new smart tv. You must follow the instructions to the letter. It will be showing a code that must be entered on the web address it tells you to access via a COMPUTER

I am about to upgrade to a sim only contract. I note the one i am interested in shows smart benefits which include Netflix. Can these be used on the TV, or just on mobile? If they can be used on TV also, do I need to cancel my current Netflix account or will arrangements be made to transfer to EE?

I have received my new sim and my Netflix smart benefit is included, however I have received no text from Netflix or ee for any activation link.
I have checked my email address and it is correct and the same on both accounts.

I've never heard of Rocketfish cable but google search shows that it's just an HDMI cable. Did you switch (your TV remote) to HDMI input channel that corresponds to the correct HDMI input on the TV? Did you try plugging the cable into different HDMI input on the TV? Before it fails, did you change anything such as upgrading iOS, upgrading Netflix app or changing cable etc?

You can also use AirPlay to send the video to an Apple TV through your wireless network, although the Apple TV also has the Netflix app installed. Even then the Apple TV is a good addition to your home theatre for streaming other content off the iPad, iPhones, computer or video rentals for iTunes.

I've got an HDMI cable which normally transmits what I'm seeing on my iPad screen to my TV except when I try and play a Netflix movie I get a message (on the IPad) saying "Cannot Play Video - The connected display is not supported."

Thanks for quick reply. Is it possible my TV is just too old (2011) for this new technology (for e.g. it's not HDCP compliant - whatever that means)? If so, is using a Chromecast likely to produce any different result do you think?

I don't know what TV you're using. I got my LCD TV in 2009, older than yours but it works fine. As long as you have an HDMI input, you can use Chromecast device. Best part of it is the cost. I got mine for about twenty bucks.

II've been streaming Netflix through my iPad for awhile successfully. I have the cable. However now somethings not connecting...get message on tv "no signal". Could this be my settings on my tv remote? I it on component to Netflix. Sorry, not very technical. Any suggestions appreciated.

A friend put a Rocketfish cable on back of my Samsung tv and I plug that into my ipad2. I change the settings on my tv remote and its always worked well. Now I get a signal on tv "no signal". I can watch netflix on my ipad but it won't stream through to my tv.

With everything. plugged in, have you tried doing a hard reset of your iPad by holding down the. Home and sleep buttons simultaneously until the screen turns black and the Apple Logo appears and then let go of the buttons?

yes, I changed tv remote settings to component as the cable has several wires. Always worked before. Now just get "no signal"....it's like there's no connection. Netflix works just fine on my iPad but it doesn't stream to tv.

The adapters for iPads can be unreliable and aren't terribly rugged. I would highly recommend purchasing a Chromecast or better still an AppleTV. If you're getting an HDCP error, that would likely be a bad or old HDMI cable. I would first suggest a new HDMI cable. If the issue still persists it could be your TV.

This app allows you to control your LG smart TV using your smartphone or tablet, providing you with an excellent alternative to your remote. To update your Netflix app using the LG TV Remote Control Plus app, follow these steps:

In conclusion, updating the Netflix app on your LG smart TV is a simple and straightforward process that can enhance your viewing experience and allow you to access the latest features and content. Whether you prefer using your remote control or the LG TV Remote Control Plus app, updating the Netflix app is a breeze.

Unplug everything from the back of the cable box. Wait a minute or two. Plug it all back in. Let it reload. My sound came right back on. I have an lg. Smart tv and Im on direct tv. Had great sound for netflix. No sound for tv programs

If you have cable or satellite try unplugging everything connected to your cable or satellite box. Wait a minute or two, then reconnect. I had this same problem & it restored the sound on my TCL Roku TV. I have Spectrum cable.

I did not have tv sound, but Netflix sound on my TCV roku tv. I unplugged the HDM! cable and the power cord to the back of the cable box. I came back a few minutes later and plugged them both back in. Success!!

Newbie here! What do hosts do about streaming services for their TVs? Currently, we have logged in states for Netflix, AppleTV and Amazon Prime (but don't allow rentals or purchases). My concern is if visitors log out of our accounts, and then we would be unable to log back in for the next visitor (we are 200 miles away).

I have installed a Google Chromecast ($35-$45) which is a small HDMI dongle that plugs into the tv. The guest then just needs to download the Chromecast app on their phone/tablet and they can send anything to the tv including Netflix and even their internet browser. They use their own accounts for the subscription service they use. They can even play their music through the tv.

I also want to add Netflix to my listing, but I don't think it is a good idea to use your personal account for guests use, because of the safety/privacy. They can use their own accounts to watch Netflix and other streaming services.

We do have house accounts for Amazon Prime, Netflix, HULU, and SLING (for ESPN, ESPN is the most common deal breaker when it comes to TV services and booking. SLING offers more than ESPN), because these are things we use at home. Guests can log in to their own accounts, if they would like, but that rarely seems to happen. When they log out, which we do remind them to do in our check out check list, it does mean the next guest will have to log back in. In those instances I ask guests to call me so can walk them through it, in case we have changed the password or something, as the same accounts are used for our home devices. It has worked reasonably well, though some of our older guests find it a little confusing. Most of our guests tell me that they aren't vacationing to watch TV and it isn't a big deal. I will point out though in our market we do not have as many children visiting as you might, say, near the beach or Orlando, for instance. I would think those kinds of locations might need cable to be competitive.
