Maybe in-person get-togethers can supplement, not replace, the virtual
gatherings. In-person gatherings are a richer experience, while virtual
gatherings allow all to attend with great convenience. Also maybe we can add
more fun since some of these gatherings are supposed to be parties. For example,
I can sing Tom Lehrer's "Chemical Elements" song.
Of course some business needed to be attended to at the one we just had.

A handy hiking guide: "Waterloo Wellington & Guelph Hikes" by
Nicola Ross, published in 2019.
Beautifully illustrated with maps, charts and photos.
Part of her "Loops & Lattes" series that covers more regions in
Southern Ontario, etc.

I found an error in the GeoTime loop instructions, page 55, #7:
"Veer left..": No: that keeps you in the forest. Strike that
whole sentence ending in "...under high transmission lines."
Follow the next sentence that starts "Your trail is still in the
forest for a short distance..."
Minor: In point #1: the parking lot near Sundew and Mayapple has
19 parking spaces, not 6.
In point #2: One millimetre of trail equals 1,000 years, not 100.
Sign #18 was not found by me on Sat Sept 7, 2024. Maybe it had
been vandalized and removed. I think it was sign #17, about the
Cretaceous Period, that had some black spray paint on it. It and
some of the other signs were quite faded; others were fresh and
new.
