Hi Mike,

I installed cryoSPARC a few weeks back on an EBS volume according to your instructions. After the initial install I was able to start cryoSPARC and run jobs without a problem. I just opened a new instance and loaded this EBS volume, but cryoSPARC spits out an error saying "Hardware is not registered".

I included the --cryosparc flag, and the instance boots up correctly and spits out the correct domain to access cryoSPARC in Chrome. I can also see my old data. It just doesn't want to actually run on the machine I booted up.

Any ideas?

Did the license get used somewhere else? On a different instance / machine that was currently running?

I don't think so. I got a license from cryoSPARC and then followed your instructions to install cryoSPARC on /data/cryosparc on an EBS volume. It worked fine after I installed it, and then after I was done processing I shut down the instance. I never tried to launch two instances simultaneously with the same license.

I also only used the license the one time. This problem has come up the first time I tried to start cryoSPARC again after the initial install.

Deactivating the license seemed to work fine for me. Apparently once a license is deactivated, it will activate on any hardware you try to run it on.

To clarify, once I deactivated the license, it registered the current AWS hardware I was using and started running the job.
