For those interested, I've finally installed the tools necessary for users to install cryoSPARC and use on AWS. Unfortunately, I can't distribute the pre-installed software, but I can provide instructions and tools to let you do it easily.

Hey Michael,

I'm giving cryoSPARC a try on aws. The tutorial only mentions how to use single gpu instances. Is it possible to use multiple p2.xlarge instances or a p2.8xlarge to run multiple jobs simultaneously from the same license?

I also want to point out that the tutorial instruction say to install in /data/cryosparc_install directory, but when the --cryosparc option is given to launch a gpu instance, the program seems to look for the cryosparc executable in /data/cryosparc/bin/. Its easy to fix this issue by renaming the directory from cryosparc_install to cryosparc.

Thanks for getting this set up.

Hi Ali,

Thanks for the info about the installation - I just updated the website.

Regarding parallel GPU processes, each cryoSPARC job can only run on a single GPU at a time, so multiple GPU machines just allow more jobs to be run at the same time.

It's so fast that I'd recommend p2.xlarge for a single user.
