ShareWaste app for neighborhood community compost

Hi all,

I wanted to make a plug for this website called ShareWaste. It's a website to connect folks processing food scraps / compost with those that want to contribute food scraps. 

People that want to host a site can make a profile with an approximate location of their house. It doesn't have a ton of users here in Santa Cruz yet, but I hope it can gain momentum through our network to help keep food scraps / compost /nutrients local. I found that accepting a few houses doesn't require much additional effort or capacity. I also have some tips about how to pull off the logistics of food scraps drop offs, but it can be super simple. 

Let me know if you have any questions about the website or community compost in general. I helped start a neighborhood compost network in the DeLaveaga neighborhood where four homes are processing food scraps from about 20 houses. Pretty rad! I'm in the process of starting up a new one here on the westside now that I live over here.
