Hi Sonal,

Just joined in the group! This group is very useful for beginners...

Thanks for your time for posting reply’s to all...

Just today I started building the BigData environment on cloud, using the CDH4.1.2 with all components/services. Till here everything works fine.

Even I tried to install the Crux on HBase. I could not find the Crux.jar file neither in github.com nor in Google search.

Can you pl. share this file (crux.jar), so that I can able to complete this and in fact I'm excited to use Crux tool ASAP.

Thanks,
UB

Hi Upendra,

Thanks for writing. Crux releases can be downloaded at https://github.com/sonalgoyal/crux/downloads or you could clone from github and build using maven. Instructions are available at git, please feel free to let me know if you see any issues.

The crux jar is use to provide server side filtering and is required for running the tool. What dp you see in the downloaded zip ? Or Did you try to build the tool?

Hi there
I've download crux-2, the last package for cdh4 (crux-2.0-alpha-hbase-0.92.1-cdh4.0.1-hadoop-2.0.0-cdh4.0.1.tar.gz),but it just has crux.war and nothing else. For setup the crux should I just copy this war file to tomcat ? Shouldn't be any jar file or sth else ?

Tnx for your help
