Announcing Crux v4.1

The Crux development team is pleased to announce the release of version 4.1 of the Crux tandem mass spectrometry analysis toolkit.  Source code and pre-compiled Windows, Linux and Mac OS binaries of the latest version of the software can be downloaded from

The primary enhancement in the current release is the addition of the DIAmeter module for searching for detecting peptides from data-independent acquisition mass spec data without requiring a spectral library. The methodology is described in Lu et al. Bioinformatics 37(Supplement_1):i434–i442, 2021.
