Disclaimer: I *am* Linux fan; I believe Linux should be on >90% home/office desktops; only small number of users really need something that is not available on Linux (read: drivers). It's just that an average user is sooo stubborn and afraid of anything new.

However I can't seem to work out what's causing the issue this time. I've enabled verbose Sophos logging which really impacts our Citrix servers (we do a shared desktop) so I get users complain on slowness. If i then enabled the windows audit policy of success and failures on Audit process tracking it grinds the server to unusable. So I'm between a rock and a hard place, need to enable logging to work out what causes it, but can't enable logging as the system is unusable.
I was getting that same error and according to it could be caused by your antivirus software. I disabled mine for the duration of the install and executed "npm install" on cmd as admin and it worked.Hope this helps.

I'm in need of some help because I'm kind of lost. I recently saw my Laptop had a newer version of an OS (Monterey) than my desktop Mac (Catalina). Logic Pro X has newer sounds on my Laptop, so I'm trying to figure out a way to update my Desktop's OS. The issue is I can't for the life of me figure out why it's not already auto-updated. I have auto-updates turned on, my Hardware seems capable of supporting current OS'.
By the way, if you have any third party antivirus, cleaning, security, VPN, or other types of maintenance apps installed that is likely your problem. The solution is to locate the developers uninstall instructions and then uninstall the app(s) and then restart in Safe Mode and then update Mac OS. All of these types of apps are 100% garbage and do nothing to help Mac OS and only create issues. NEVER EVER install these on a Mac.

Are the machines rebooting? If so, then seems like a blue screen. Look at any software that uses drivers, including VDA, antivirus, and other security tools. Did one of your security tools update itself?
Hi, Carl we have a situation with Windows 10 Multisesion with GPU Nvidia over Azure and VDA 22.03 CU1, the behaivor is that the user logon to Citrix AG and then launch the desktop with a Gray Window at the Citrix Workspace. If the user wait 1 minute and reconnect to them, can see their desktop and can work, but only fails the first time of the session, if reconnect no problem.
Hi I downloaded Mcafee while in Arizona from Cox cable company. Now that I am home I wish to transfer or just add it to my desktop But when I went to install it a window popped up asking for a serial number. I have no serial number this is a screen shot of my icon. Now that I am back home I am on Comcast or Xfinity cable and they have discontinued Mcafee and have gone with Nortons. I don't want Nortons I want to continue with Mcafee but where the heck do I find a serial number? I'm brand new so if this is in the wrong place I do apologize. Thanks so much for any help
ohhhh yes I am trying to install the same one I installed on this lap top. Comcast has opted to go with Nortons antivirus instead of Mcafee so darn. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH. I so appreciate all your help
I just upgraded from W7 to W10 and now the bottom right corner that shows the desktop on click annoys me a bit because it also shows the desktop on mouseover.
Can the mouseover be disabled please?
vncserver is a utility which starts a VNC (Virtual Network Computing) desktop. It runs Xvnc with appropriate options and starts a window manager on the VNC desktop. vncserver allows users to run separate sessions in parallel on a machine which can then be accessed by any number of clients from anywhere.
At this point, other users are able to use a VNC viewer program to connect to the VNC server using the display number and password defined. Provided a graphical desktop is installed, an instance of that desktop will be displayed. It will not be the same instance as that currently displayed on the target machine.
Tried to install new graphic driver, but cannot as i dont find any suitable for my notebook, uninstalled vmware workstation, used vmware install cleaner, set ahci in bios, , installed vmware as administrator, tryed to install it in program files (but it installs always in x86 program files), and i still have same problem. I dont have any antivirus/firewall installed. Im runing out of ideas of what to do here.
