I just flew Swoop Hamilton to Abbotsford. I read the information and booked and paid for my required bags. I did not pay for seat selection. I was traveling with my two girls and we all were seated together and on the leg home had great leg room. I downloaded the Swoop Ap on my phone and checked in online so when I got to the service desk all they needed was our ID and we got our boarding passes. I think overall we had a great experience. The flight was good, on time and service is excellent. True we were flying out of smaller airports, but personally, I really like that. I think overall it is excellent value for money and I have flown larger carriers and received worse service.

In addition to being able to access for-purchase Wi-Fi and entertainment amenities, the Swoop app allows travellers to quickly and easily book flights, manage bookings, check-in, view boarding passes, and track flights.

Airport check-in was a breeze. There wasn't a single person in line when I arrived just shy of two hours until departure, and one of the two available agents waved me over to check my bag and print my boarding pass.

Preboarding began at the scheduled time of 11:10 a.m. followed by an all-call for other passengers three minutes later. That free-for-all boarding had to be annoying to those who were supposed to get advance boarding, which came as a benefit of paying for a carry-on.

My experience: I made my reservation first, then applied my KTN to my SWA profile the night before I logged on to do the online check-in, 24 hours prior to my flight. My KTN was not printed on the boarding pass. I immediately started searching in the Discussion Forum to find out why my KTN was not printed on my boarding pass. I thought it would populate since it was saved on my profile. I found instructions on how to add the KTN to your existing reservation, but you can't do it if you've already checked in, online. You MUST call the customer service number to have them add it to your reservation. You could probably have them do it at the airport, but I didn't want to waste any extra time doing extra things. The rep asked for my confirmation number and had me re-check in. I did not lose my assigned boarding position. The words "TSA PRE" were now above my name on my boarding pass. Apparently, early morning is not a good time to call, they are busy, so I opted to have them auto-call me back and not lose my spot in the queue. Took them over an hour to call me back to ask my question, but it was a quick 3-minute phone conversation and resolution. Good job SW!

I had one time I had to get southwest to add my KTN number and when I went to check in again I did lose my boarding pass I think it's a case of someone checked in in the quick min process glad you didn't lose your pass though. But I learned make sure to have that number on every reservation before check in time so I don't have that issue again or if I have to add it after check in take a screen shot of my boarding pass before doing the process again.

Where we can meet a request, all changes will be subject to payment of an administration fee of 50 per person per change, as well as any costs and charges incurred by us and/or incurred or imposed by any of our suppliers in making this change. You should be aware that these costs could increase the closer to the departure date that changes are made and you should contact us as soon as possible. Otherwise, no refunds will be given for passengers not travelling or for unused services.

Important Note: Certain arrangements may not be amended or transferred after they have been confirmed and any alteration could incur a cancellation charge of up to 100% of that part of the arrangements.
