Is there a way to change the coordinates of the mouse pointer that is shown in the lower right of the window from degrees-minutes-seconds to degrees-decimaldegrees?

You can change that in menu "Settings | Coordinates".

Sorry, I must have tunnel vision, I totally missed seeing the menus on the right side of the window.
