Thanks for the report.

What rendering engine, Mapsforge or VTM (OpenGL)?
Can you reproduce it on Android too?

Do you have a gpx file to import as favorites and reproduce it?

What operating system?
I cannot reproduce it on Linux.

The window can be closed via the buttons "X" or "OK" or "Cancel".

Can you reproduce it every time?

Does it happen with Mapsforge rendering engine?

Does it happen only with the Layers window?
How exactly?

> I can see this being an issue if you click a Favorite at far-out zoom and the program needs to offer a choice of icons (because they are close together).

So it is not if 2 markers are near in coordinates?

Can it happen with markers far away if you zoom out too much to make them appear close?

Only with favorites?
What about a route's yellow turn instruction markers?

(you mentioned Windows 7 Pro)

What Java?

The best would be: https://adoptium.net/temurin/releases/?version=11

No need for the latest, we still work and test on Java 11 because of Android (and Linux packages).

Have you tried another machine?
Has anyone else seen something similar?

I could add an option to turn on / off the markers list, but it would be good to know what happens.

No Problem with overlapping "Favorites" on
Cruiser-3.0.7/OpenSuse-Tumbleweed-64bit.

There's no real need for me on the desktop, but what's missing since
Version Cruiser-3.0.4 is the script "cruiser-gl.sh" (same as
"cruiser-gl.bat") for the Cruiser-GL version.

Debian here and everything is also working properly.

Android OpenGL works fine, but Desktop OpenGL has issues depending on the OS.

I am thinking if it's worth my time to keep maintaining Desktop Cruiser with VTM (OpenGL),
or just keep the regular Desktop Cruiser with Mapsforge.

(Willy confirmed the issue on Windows 7)

Anyway I will see if I can find anything!

The OpenGL can now be selected in Cruiser "Settings | Rendering engine" (and restart Cruiser).

Next desktop Cruiser update will have an improvement
in handling of OpenGL threads for the Layers screen.

We will see if it can solve this reported issue. :)
