Beta and 1.3.11

Hello,

Would it be possible to install version 1.3.11 and the beta (1.4) on the same system?

I want to test the newer version but if there are bugs would like the posibility to revert back to the older version.

If there are, do I report bug in the beta?

Yes, these are considered as different apps from Android perspective, so you can install both of them simultaneously.

Beta is where new features are usually tested.
Additionally Beta follows the dev branch of Mapsforge development (while normal version is following the stable branch).

You can use this forum for reporting issues you have with any version.

Hi,

After an initial failure with reading maps I removed and installed again everything seems working fine.

(Samsung GT-S6810P Android 4.1.2) 

Is there a setting which rotates the map in moving direction to the top?

Map direction either GPS or Compass does not seem  to be desinged for this? or could it be that my phone is too slow to process.

No currently I have not added map rotation yet (it's also to be implemented in map engine).

That defines from where the my location arrow takes its bearing (compass sensor or GPS).
