Hi Emux,
As OruxMaps has now a beta with MF 0.5, I'm playing around with mapstyles and overlays. In this test version only mapstyles are shown in Cruiser (and Atlas), overlays are only visible in OruxMaps:

The same happens with the rendertheme from samples.
Is there something wrong in my code or are overlays missing?
Best regards,
Tobias

Hi Tobias,

I have not added yet support for overlays in Cruiser / Atlas.

Currently they support the main map styles, as you mentioned.

Thanks you brought it up!
If there is need from the community I could add it in next versions.

Hi Emux,
thanks for the information.

I really like the additional value of overlays, so the more apps that support it the better. My goal for a new version 3 of Elevate is to completely overhaul it with the additional possibilities of renderTheme-v4, but only one app (OruxMapsBeta) is supporting overlays at the moment AFAIK.

I always try to test all features on several apps, and Cruiser/Atlas was always included in that - most development was done with Atlas as it is best suited for that.

So adding overlays are more than welcome for me.

Best regards,
Tobias

I see map styles / overlays are quite usable too
and I already use them in other apps with custom themes.

I advanced this feature at top of my list for implementation in both Cruiser / Atlas.

For the record if you want to use current implementation,
you can test the overlays as default enabled with the parameter:

enabled="true"

as shown here at render theme v4.

Thanks for that!
And also for the hint with enabled="true", I will try that as well.

Tobias

I have implemented complete support for styles / overlays with selectors in both Cruiser / Atlas.

It's in the process of testing now and I'll release new versions asap.

I published new versions of Cruiser / Atlas with full support of map styles / overlays via selectors.

The map styles / overlays participate also in Bookmarks and the active ones appear in "Map info" dialog too.

Thanks a lot, that was fast. I like the implementation in Atlas for multiple selection!

In both platforms I implemented quickly the full support in order to have something to play with.

Probably the UI can be more intuitive, specially in Android (in one dialog) or in Java with checkboxes too.
