vieleRets: Any solution to Data Insert Error: "MYSQL Server has gone away"

Hello guys,
Usually i receive *data insert error* when running vieleRets, to know
exactly what error i am having i added *echo mysql_error()* on all the
places where data is inserted into db. Then i get to know about this "*MYSQL
Server has gone away*" error. I have a VPS and i tried giving *
mysql.connect_timeout* a value of *-1* but still i am getting this
error.**The strange thing is, it starts giving this error for a little
while and
then again starts adding entries normally, then after a while again it
starts showing this error. Any ideas?
