Updated news on Colonie's new system

I just found this info out this evening.  The fire departments have now picked up the new digital portable radios (I got a chance to look one over).  The cutover date is now going to be Friday, February 15.  I don't know what time, but according to the town, it will definately be that date.

 

The radios as they sit now can not function on the analog systems.  Later this week I am going to get my hands on one again and go through the talk group list so people have an idea as to the number and names of talk groups.
