Well, if you haven't ever heard what OpenSky sounds like, and you have a receiver that covers the 700 MHz. band, and you live in the Capital District area, try giving 764.4625 Mhz. a listen to. I believe this is a control channel for the local OpenSky test site in the Albany area. I'm not sure what kind of range it gets but in uptown Albany with a UHF omnidirectional tower mounted antenna I'm showing it at about -80 dBm on my service monitor (in comparison to a -108 dBm noise floor).
