Why do I get these virus warnings in ChromiumPortable_36.0.1941.0.paf ? What's going on, I thought this was supposed to be trustworthy software.

First, that ain't a file distributed by us (it's a ZIP).  This one is.

That said, I'm not sure what's going on here, as the one I just linked to is now also being flagged by some as malware.  That wasn't the case when I released it; contrast with the results for the corresponding packed launcher, which haven't been updated since.

I'll see what I can find out about this.

I'm also getting a virus warning on ChromiumPortable_37.0.2062.3.paf.exe from Avast on my Win 7 machine.  It's showing "Win32:Malware-gen" in the packed Chrome executable.

I'm assuming this is a false positive - but would still like to know what's going on.

So do I.  It seems we're hitting a generic trojan signature.
