Good evening, all.
Very fortunate to have a clear night last night, didn't clear properly until around midnight. I decided to have another go on M81&82, I have already image this target 3 times in the past; however, I have a new scope from rother valley F7 Horizon duplet refractor. I wanted to try it out to see what kind of image I would get.
I also upgrade to sharpcap pro and installed eqmod. No more 3-star alignment. It's made life so much easier for me. I also upgraded my mount to HEQ5, simply amazing.

I built an astro shelter for my gear, which cuts the wind down by jess than half.

M81 and 82, 100 light x 240 sec. 40 of each calibration frames dark, flats, dark flats. L Pro filter. Zwoasi294 one shot colour. Temperature set to Minus 20.
Guided 60mm guide scope.
Guiding was 0.90 total
Image was process in Startools.
Started around midnight and finished 6.30am

A lovely image Kevin, at a scale that strikes a very good balance between showing both objects together and retaining considerable detail in each.  The new scope was an excellent choice.

Thank you, James.  After seeing the results from using the 60 Horizon, 700mm Horizon seem to be a no brainer. But some one also recommended it to me.
Thank you James

That's a very good image, no doubt about it. Good detail, colour, guiding, composition etc.
All the better for being a one-shot colour camera, though for galaxies a monochrome with filter wheel would not be much better; they are more suited to nebulae.
Well done and thanks for sharing.
