Feedback: I've played this game at summer camp with my campers.  We pick out a counselor who doesn't know the game, and tell them that we are going to come up with a story and that they will have yes or no questions to guess it.  Then we agree that all questions that end with a vowel -we answer no to...and all questions that end with a consonant  we answer yes to.    Good way to kill a half an hour.  Curious what you will do with this.  good luck;)

I still think we need a way to tell if a question is invalid. And is it just me but did the workers seem to create longer stories when the responses were yes/no as opposed to true/false. Yes/no seems more human-like to me.

Hi all, I have to make an unexpected trip to the airport to drop someone off. I think I may miss part or all of our meeting. I will send an email update as soon as I return. Short version: turkers and oDesk workers can externalize others' models with varying (but generally decent) quality. Next steps: I'd like to see how authors externalize their own models but this requires some changes to the code. Feel free to assign jobs to me during the meeting.

Hey Robin,

I'm not convinced the question # is a good metric. I think a) they
should know what all the stages are and like, know what's coming up
and b) be able to switch what they're working on... like say "i'm done
with characters, let's talk about setting" also Paul recommended
giving them suggestions like, if they're working on character, they
could ask about age, name, motivations, etc...

We should make a mockup of a better way to present the info and guide
the users through it.

We should move away from the app engine thing because it's getting
harder and harder for me to work with. Got any preferences for
technology for making a new web app? php, django, raw html and
javascript, something else...?

After thinking about it a little more, maybe we could have a progress bar that could show how complete their story is based on the elements they've already asked about. And, they could also skip to the next section. Thoughts anyone?
