Snowflake writing method

One recursive writing method is the Snowflake method. I can't find the original link just this commercial one. Basically you start with one sentence and recursively define your story.

I think it is quite reasonable to imagine using this method with crowd-based story writing.

Thanks, I hadn't heard of this. A more structured approach is Blake
Snyder's "Save the cat" method. He says that all movie plots should
include 15 essential "beats" which occur in a particular sequence
(http://www.blakesnyder.com/downloads/beatsheet.doc). He also sells
software based on this method -- apparently all these guys do.
