We invite applications for several

        PhD student positions

in Human-in-the-loop Artificial Intelligence.

Your research will focus on new AI methods, and on developing new human-in-the-loop solutions for text analysis. You will work in one of our new research projects starting in 2022 and will be part of a challenging and unique international research environment. PhD scholarships under the supervision of A/Prof. Gianluca Demartini starting July or October 2022 are available in the context of the "ARC Training Centre for Information Resilience" and the SNSF Sinergia project "Large-Scale Political Participation: Issue Identification, Deliberation, and Co-creation".

You should possess good knowledge in information retrieval, artificial intelligence, machine learning and/or recommender systems. Very good proficiency in English is expected, as well as an outstanding B.Sc.(honours) or M.Sc. in computer science. International experience during your studies or afterwards as well as good social and communication skills are helpful. You should also have the ability and willingness to work with experts from different disciplines.
