Hi All -
I have a coin feed issue that i can not figure out. I tested the feeders during the building phase and they worked. I now have the whole box together (I am at final assembly step 4) and they don't.
For step 4 I added the perch to the top, which pushed the lid holding the coin magazine down juuust a smidge, which caused interference between the pushers and the magazine
I pulled off the glue and realigned it so now it's at the right height, but somehow the pushers don't go back far enough to clear the quarters.
This photo is of the lid fully retracted, and you can see how far into the magazine the coin pushers are. They land UNDER the quarters and not behind.
When running training phase 3, the pushers just slide right under the quarters. Occasionally the quarter will slide out on top of the pushers, which kinda/sorta works, but is not a long-term solution since this happens irregularly.
I tried using nickels instead but they get pushed backwards when the lid retracts, which means they are still misaligned for the pushers to grab the edge. i tried adding a pad to the back of the magazine, so they couldn't move backwards all the way, but it did not work (though i think it could, potentially)
For what it's worth, i'm building two crow boxes at the same time, both came from the same vendor, same cut run, and both have the pushers in this spot (about a centimeter too far forward)
My only thought at this point (besides maybe getting the pad to hold the nickels forward in the magazine) is to cut the pushers somehow, but man... they are tiny and sanding will take forever, cutting makes me nervous.
Anyone had this problem????
