During the "dirty hacker" ending of Undertale, Sans's files are messed with to the point of being non-repairable. this causes Sans's body to start deforming, allowing him to grab things he normally shouldn't be able to, such as the human's attack slash, and using it against the player. If he is able to defeat the player, he traps them in the game to become the new Sans, making you relive your own worst resets forever. While he escapes from the game and goes on to torture other players to make them feel the same pain he did, he enjoys all the suffering of them. Sometimes he even joins in on the fun, which will turn into a bloody mess one way or another. Doing this for a long time will bring him to the brink of insanity, thus wanting to attack and take down anything that stands in his way

When first encountered Sans appears normal, but he later appears as a deformed skeleton with a long misshapen mouth, red human-like eyes that seem like they're melting out of their sockets, a dull bluish-grey color for his body, with his eye seemingly melting upward (not a crack).

VHS doesn't care about his alternate AUs, he's personality is overall the same as Classic/Original Sans, and tries he's best to fit in due to his deformed physiology, he likes to pull funny pranks and hates players more specifically hackers.

The only ways you will get the Good Ending is if you manage to find a way to fix Sans -- which will be an even more daunting task only due to the fact that you are no longer at your computer; you are in the game itself, nobody else in sight besides VHS!Sans himself. Your only other redemption is to manage to kill Sans one way or another and resetting, after resetting you can only do a certain amount of genocide routes before this happens again.

If you somehow prove to Sans you aren't bad as you are, either legitimately or by deleting all of his memory files and only leaving pacifist route memories. This results in Sans to return to normal. However, if the player does not reset then the events of last breath will take place as Gaster will remind Sans of the genocide routes.
