This photo was posted by Dennis Dietrich, of was the west Groton airport in 1942 and is now Crosswinds Drive. The cart road on the left that crosses the railroad, is the trail that goes to the river.  The road was still visible in the field when we moved here in 92.  It was replaced by the yellow house now owned by the Colicchios.  Marshal Britt owned the the airport, Britt Lane was named after him.
