The only argument I've seen thus far about this rule is the wording.
Not only has no one offered any viable, useful suggestions, not one
person has come up with any kind of decent counterpoint against them.
I admit that my post was made in haste becaues the users were
demanding an answer.
I made a mistaken assumption that users would be able to interpret the
rule as it was stated, for the time being, like rational adults
*should* be able to do.
People may notice anger in my tone, which is true, because this,
folks, is pure bullshit, and you all know it. You are making a
mountain out of a molehill here. You are freaking out over something
that is such a non-issue with the administrators that we were taken
aback and confused by your outpouring of nitpickery.
If anyone had a problem understanding the rule, I would expect people
to just ask, or tell us they don't understand. But we have come under
fire /for the way we chose to word it./ Which honestly, I knew of,
but I really didn't think it would be /this big a deal/ because we're
dealing with adults here, right?
This tells me that you all understand it, but you don't like it, but
you can't give a rational explanation for why you don't like it.
You've also been unable to give us any suggestions to make /the rule/
better.
What I have seen so far means that you people only understand things
in black and white, despite some pointing out a "lot of gray areas".
You either want ALL things allow, or you want NO things allowed. The
admins were *trying* to give you a confortable margin, but it seems
like that is enough. Soon, I will suggest to the administrators to
make it *easier* on *us* to not allow *any pictures posted at all*.
And if you think I'm bluffing, try me. I'm an artist, so you know
that statement holds more power than from another admin.
What I ask of you is to *stop freaking out* and take the rule *as it
is* for *what it means*. If you have *no good judgement* then play it
safe and don't post anything. We will rewrite the rules, which you
all will no doubt ignore in the future, as you did with the other
rules, as soon as I can get the site up and the admins can agree to
the new ruleset, or we agree to use the old ruleset.
Do not pretend that because you've "Gotten away with things" this long
that you have some claim or right, or priviledge over the
administrators. If you ask us nicely, we will consider requests. If
you nitpick and argue stupidly, I will from this point on ignore you.
And that right there assumes you can understand the statement I just
wrote, and can tell the difference between being nice and having a
point, and being a dickhead and posting bullshit.
That is all.
