Dear Victoria,

On behalf of African Dignity Foundation, African Civil Society Network and Cross River State Civil Society Network, I hereby support the Condemnation by Edem Children Foundation(ECF) of the setting ablaze of an eight year old girl accused of Witchcraft at  sabon layi in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area in Plateau State by a Sixty year old Man. 

we also join  ECF to call for the immediate arrest and prosecution of the identified sixty year old man by the Human Rights Commission and the Nigerian Police Force. We also enjoin the government of Plateau state and the Attorney General of the Federation to ensure that justice is done to the victim to serve as a deterrent to other intending offenders.

Cross River State and our neighboring Akwa Ibom State have severally experienced incidences and so this should not be allowed to become the norm in any part of the country.

ACT NOW TO PREVENT CHILD ABUSE ANYWHERE AND EVERYWHERE. DEMAND TOTAL DIGNITY FOR ALL PERSONS INCLUDING CHILDREN.
