I had trouble over the weekend with doing the FTP from CrossMgr to the website.  Using 3.1.14.  I created the file last week using what looks to be 3.1.05 - then after I had the troubles, I updated to 3.1.14, but am still having the issues.

On FTP test, it says: FtpUploadFile: FTPOSError: [WinError 10060] A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond

It works fine on a race I did earlier in the season, but not on the race I did last week.  same site, settings, etc.  Everything looks good on FTP.  Maybe something's wrong with that particular set of files I created last week?

I haven't changed anything in the FTP code.
The default ftp timeout is 30 seconds.  That seems to be a long time for a response.
If you send me the CrossMgr log file, we can start with that.

You could also try doing the FTP upload from the command line with exactly the same parameters (username, password) you are using in CrossMgr.
If you don't get the timeout issue, we will know it isn't a server issue.

It's not a server issue because I have other files that are uploading to the same location.  I'll try to save off a backup of one of these files, but my guess is that there's just something goofy in this weekend's files.  I did take one of the files and change the ftp server to a bogus server, run the test, let it fail, then change it back to the correct server and it worked fine.  So maybe there's just some file corruption that isn't worth looking at.  But I'll send the files over just in case you want to take a look.

OK.
The only thing I can think of is that you can send me your race files (which include your FTP location and password) and I can try to upload something myself when I get a chance.
Perhaps there are errors that don't show up in the log.
Don't post this in the group (send via direct email) as I am sure you don't want to publish the password.

Taking advantage of the same post, I would like to ask a question.
Is it safe to use FTP during an event? I remember that a while ago I used it, but sometimes the crossmgr crashed.
