A bit more complicated but it works.
You put in the start time in the spreadsheet - actually you use the offset from the "start of the race". It doesn't take actual times.
Then you need to either manually start the race or put in the start time.
I wish they did this different - but to fit the current system we put the race start at 2 minutes before the first rider goes off. That way you have time to sync the starting iPad, etc which you cannot do until the race actually starts.
So lets say you want the first ride off at 9am. You set race start early, say 8:58. Do your housekeeping. Make the first offset 2 minutes, second 3 minutes, etc.
To start things properly, when you create or open the race, you still need to import start times. My mistake was I thought it did this automatically because I put the times in my race spreadsheet. Nope.
Test it a few times. If you have the box clicked to start the race automatically at a future time it all just happens. But test it. Good thing is that if something goes sideways they system stores everything. So my first event it recorded all the finish times as start times. I had to manually adapt BUT I still got the results. The second event of the day ... perfect.
