I'm timing mostly XC mountain biking this year, which doesn't use the 80% rule. Is there a way of disabling it to prevent accidently pulling someone?

Why not just ignore it? Not sure how you’d accidentally 80% someone

Chris is correct.
CrossMgr does not automatically pull riders outside of 80%.

Rather, it shows riders that are outside of the 80% interval only.
CrossMgr predicts which riders will be outside 80% in the Expected list, and gives you the "heads up" on which numbers need to be pulled.

You still need to pull them from the race.
This can be done from the Record screen, or alternatively, from the Pulled screen where you can input the order of riders pulled by lap.
