I install crossmeta and do everything exactly according the the
jumpstart guide, and everything seems to be fine, vfsadm comes up,
shows everything as if everything is working fine, but there is no
drive V: in my computer, and I get an invalid path error when I type V:
in the address bar, anyone know whats going on?

It does not come up for me in Windows explorer, but it does come up in
open dialogues for othe programmes. Having managed by some means to to
get a shortcut to a file in V: in recent files (C:\Documents and
Settings\John Talbut\Recent ) I copied it into my crossmeta programmes
folder. Open Windows explorer, go to C:\Program Files\crossmeta ,
click on the shortcut and hey presto, the V: drive is available.

I get an "incorrect function" message when trying to cd to v: as
opposed to a "the system cannot find the drive specified" when trying
w: which is unmounted. In addition, my mount service won't start:
"Error 22: The device does not recognize the command" Any ideas?
