Dear Friends,

As usual, you are on my mailing list because you have sent me
an  email.  You get automatically added when I respond.  If you 
don't want to be on my mailing list, let me know, and I will take you 
off.  If you asked to be taken off and weren't, my apologies.  Computers do
strange things and sometimes get the best of me.  Let me  know, and
I'll try again.

but I can't change anything on that one.

All my events are listed on "Events" on my website at
http://www.mehl-madrona.com.  In August, I will be in
Woodstock, NY, August 29-21.

\In September, I will be in Toronto, Sept. 5 -7; Kansas City,
Missouri,>> Sept 12-14; Goddard College in Vermont, September
15; and Vancouver, BC, September 28-29.

In October, I will be near Sydney, Australia, the
weekend of October 4-5
and speaking a a Mind-Body-Spirit Conference in Auckland, New
Zealand,>> October 10-12.  My week long practitioner
training is from October 17-24 in
Stowe, Vermont, and I will be in Halifax, Nova Scotia, from
October 30 through November 2nd.

I hope to see some of you at these events.

I've got something new that's really exciting.  Check it
out on my web site
at "My Projects"  I working to develop "cyber-
collaborations" with any of
you who are interested.  I'm working in the following areas:

1.  Outcomes of integrative health care (I'm especially 
interested in how spirituality and changes in spirituality affect health).

2.  Outcomes with traditional healers and healing

3.  Changing diabetes through traditional healing and
also through enhancing spirituality and cultural awareness

4.  Exploring and expanding integrative psychiatry

5.  Developing a collaborative, multi-institutional cross-
cultural mental health training program that is inclusive of all types of
practitioners and includes traditional healers as faculty.

6.  Developing a course/book on aboriginal mind and mental health

I'm using google groups to do this which are accessed through
my website initially or directly through google groups.  It turns
out that google groups are excellent for building collaboration across
distances.  Check it out and let's build capacity together.
 

I also have a blog at http://mehlmadrona.blogspot.com and an open
discussion forum called Coyote Medicine, which is a google
group.  I am inviting everyone to join my open discussion forum (ignore
your invitation if you don't want to join) so that eventually I phase out
newsletters per se.
