There is a one-click Windows installer for setting up a scientific
computing environment on Windows.
Python(x,y) is a free and open source scientific computing Python
distribution maintained by Pierre Raybaut and Grizzly Nyo.
http://pythonxy.com
The full list of included packages is listed here:
http://code.google.com/p/pythonxy/wiki/StandardPlugins
I tested the installer on a Windows machine and it seems to work well,
with a number of features that would make Windows users comfortable.
The current release only supports 32-bit Windows, which means that you
will have a 2GB memory limit for programs that run in this
environment.
Please thank Pierre and Grizzly by helping them fix issues on
http://code.google.com/p/pythonxy/issues
You can download the installer here:
http://code.google.com/p/pythonxy/wiki/Downloads
To reduce load on their servers, you can also download version 2.7.2.3
from my server based in NY:
